Cloud Nothings visit the psych ward in new video

cloud nothings, psychic trauma, punk rock, alt rock

Cloud Nothing’s new video for their single “Psychic Trauma” employs their very anti-punk hero lead singer and bandmates in a psych ward with a very wobbly blue-tinted effect to the cinematography. “Psychic Trauma” feels like a mix between the Ramones and the Strokes. It’s sad, angry and pissed-the-fu*k off all in one.

Following this spring’s release of their new album Here And Nowhere Else and in conjunction with their current sold out US tour, Cloud Nothings are back today to share the video for album highlight “Psychic Trauma.” Directed by longtime collaborator Ryan Manning, the video features a warped version of the band performing the blistering track – making for a decidedly less unsettling product than their previous videos. In conjunction with the current tour and video’s release, the band have hand-customized a limited number of Here and Nowhere Else LPs, available from indie retail stores across the West Coast now. Head over to the band’s Facebook page for a full list of participating retailers, and call to check availability. Check out the video above and see below for all upcoming Cloud Nothings US tour dates as well as a selection of the hand-designed LP jackets.
