Mick Harvey

“Baby Teeth, Wolfy Teeth (Dents De Lait, Dents De Loup)”

Intoxicated Women

Mick Harvey is a genius.  He has been working on the translated work of Serge Gainbourg, and Intoxicated Woman is the fourth album of the group.  “Baby Teeth, Wolfy Teeth” is a translation of Gainsbourg’s 1967 duet, “Dents de Lait, Dents de Loup” – one of many songs Gainsbourg wrote for the French yé yé singer France Gall – and is here sung with a special appearance by Harvey’s son, Solomon.  This is a beautiful arrangement of this song.  I am so glad that Harvey has decided to translate and perform these beautiful songs of Gainsbourg.  Enjoy my friends.
