Yaeji is an American singer, DJ, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York City. Her style blends elements of house music and hip hop with mellow, quiet vocals sung in both English and Korean. Her music is passionate and sung with quite, subtle fervor. There is a world of pain and anger in there but you wouldn’t get that by listening to her soft, mellow vocals. “Passed Me By” is a perfect example of the complexity of her music from the lyrics to production this is crafted with the skill of someone that’s being doing it for years.
