JoLivi is a singer from Hawaii that has that sort of voice that is just beautiful and sweet, like a perfect meringue pie, but not too sweet. There is that slight bitterness in her music that makes it sound adult and not just candy fluff. As JoLivi says, “I want to be a strong voice for other women who go through what I went through, like how Alanis Morissette and Gwen Stefani were for me. I want to show it’s okay to be vulnerable, to be heart-broken, to make the wrong choices, to lose yourself, and to ultimately know when it’s time to move on. That’s what this new EP is about.” JoLivi is definitely talented enough to take her place among the great. Her vulnerability and her strength combine to create an individual artist on her way to greatness.
