It is rare that we find post-punk rock that is so artfully crafted into something that mixes genres in such a beautifully cohesive way. Atlanta-based trio Omni have just released their debut album “Deluxe” and they’ve already blended a fierce vitality with the confidence of bands twice their age.
Singer Philip Frobos exhibits a smooth demeanor while guitarist Frankie Broyles (formerly Deerhunter) and drummer Billy Mitchell spark fires with their incredible riffs and rhythms. Each song plays like something out of the playbook of Field Music v. punk but in a much more raucous and polished way.
