She & Him have really done it this time in their new video for “I Could Have Been Your Girl.” I mean rubber duckies, 50s inspired dance moves and outfits, I mean this is really original.
When isn’t Zooey Deschanel not trying to be ridiculously cute? Anyone remember Meg Ryan? It’s kind of the same thing, but for Zooey it works a bit better. This video is reminiscent of a Feist video but none-the-less cute and quirky in many ways. M. Ward is his usual drone self but manages to up it a bit for the audience at the end…the coffee maybe?
