    The Falling Birds

    “Cinders In The Breeze”

What Is There to Talk About

What a great band.  This duo from Brooklyn, comprised of Stephen Artemis (vocals/guitar/harmonica) and Dave Alan (drums/keys), is wonderfully subversive.  They sound so normal, but there are so many things going on with these Birds.  They make more noise with the two of them than most full bands.  They’ve got that Neil Young-angst down pat without sounding derivative.  I really like this band.  The Falling Birds make music that is the ultimate of the music your parents would probably not want you to listen to, which is even more reason to like them.
