    “Nadia”

    Public Panic

Oftentimes, pop stars try their hands at writing film scores (good example, Danny Elfman), but rarely to film composer go the opposite way and write pure pop wonder.  Such is the case though of Steph Copeland.  After a career of writing great film scores, Copeland has decided to try pop music, and wow, she succeeds perfectly.  Born and raised in Chatham-Kent Ontario, Copeland emerged as an electronic artist in Detroit and Los Angeles in the early 2000’s.  From Detroit, she went to LA, where she started writing film scores.  This time around, however, Copeland has gotten rid of the film itself, and instead, she has written movies in songs of 5 or 6 minutes, each song a movie in itself.  Copeland has a great great voice, and she has the ability to make movies with songs.
