What a voice. Ms. White has that smoky, jazzy voice that makes you dream of those smoky Harlem or Paris nightclubs where you’d see Louie Armstrong, Billie Holliday, Josephine Baker, and the other greats. The fact she is transgender just adds to the beauty of her personality. I love Ms. White. This is music for the ages. It must have been a lost Cole Porter song, with all the fun puns and fluid poetry. In fact, Ms. White would be perfect singing Cole Porter. This is the greatest singer I’ve heard since Sade. You go girl. Perfect production too.
