The Best: Depeche Mode – “Cover Me”

    Depeche Mode

    “Cover Me”

    Spirit

Has Depeche Mode sold their soul to someone?  Their music never ages, yet it is in constant flux.  Their new single, “Cover Me”, is one of the best tracks I’ve ever heard from them or from anyone else.  If you know and love Depeche Mode, I need not say anything else.  If you don’t know Depeche Mode, “Cover Me” is a great introduction to the Gloom/Electronic/Goth (god, they need their own category, they are that good) band ever.  They never sound old; they are contemporary always, dealing the problems of being human, relating to the outside world, and trying to balance the inner workings of what makes us human.  Listen to them, love them.
