    Leopold Nunan

    “Got To Be Strong”

With roots in Rio de Janeiro, Leopold Nunan is a true chameleon, able to assume any shape.  He is, get this, entertainer, singer, dancer, actor, director, choreographer, stylist, photographer, writer, and journalist, and he is known for playing a macho samba dancer to harlequin, from a diaphanous angel to a fearsome tribal chief, from cabaret character, classic vaudevillian or haute couture prancer to goofy nerd. To date, he has created more than 500 characters for the stage.  His music is an impressive mix of rhythms and strange synth noises all swirling around Nunan’s expressive voice, combining electronica with Brazilian music to create something new.  This is both great music and great theatre.  Nunan is definitely a force to watch.
