Get ready to dance! Art-rock icons of Montreal are hitting the road in 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking album, The Sunlandic Twins. Following the success of their 2024 release Lady On The Cusp, the tour promises to be a dazzling journey through one of indie pop’s most defining records.

Originally released in April 2005, The Sunlandic Twins catapulted Kevin Barnes (he/she/they) and their ever-evolving band into indie stardom. Known for its genre-defying blend of electronic synth-pop and deeply personal storytelling, the album marked a transformative moment in Barnes’ career, delivering unforgettable tracks like “Wraith Pinned to the Mist (And Other Games)” and “The Party’s Crashing Us.” This record didn’t just push boundaries—it shattered them, cementing of Montreal as one of the most innovative forces in indie music.

With The Sunlandic Twins, Barnes paved the way for a string of critically acclaimed albums, late-night TV appearances, and collaborations with legends like Solange, Janelle Monáe, and Jon Brion. The band’s influence spans continents, festival stages, and generations, boasting appearances at Coachella, Sasquatch!, and Pitchfork Music Festival, and amassing hundreds of millions of streams along the way.

And let’s not forget their live shows—an of Montreal concert is nothing short of a psychedelic spectacle. Expect kaleidoscopic visuals, infectious energy, and Kevin Barnes’ signature genre-blurring soundscapes brought to life. Featuring stops in iconic venues across the U.S., including Brooklyn Steel, the 9:30 Club, and Royale, this is a tour no indie fan should miss.

Adding to the excitement, special guests cumgirl8 will join for most dates, while the legendary B-52’s will share the stage for an epic kickoff in Athens, GA.

Don’t miss the chance to experience The Sunlandic Twins like never before—grab your tickets and join the celebration of one of indie pop’s most influential albums.
