Indie rock legends The Lemonheads are back with Love Chant, their first album of new material in almost two decades—dropping October 24 via Fire Records. Led by the ever-iconic Evan Dando and recorded in São Paulo with producer Apollo Nove, the album is a kaleidoscope of jangly riffs, country detours, and psych-folk swirls. It features an all-star cast including J Mascis, Juliana Hatfield, Adam Green, and Nick Saloman.

Lead single “In The Margin” channels Dando’s signature sweet-and-sour melancholy with biting lyrics and fuzzy guitar hooks. “Deep End,” co-written with Tom Morgan and powered by Mascis’ unmistakable solo, has already lit up the blogosphere with its nostalgic punch.

From grunge-soaked angst to dreamy indie pop, Love Chant doesn’t just revive The Lemonheads—it reaffirms why their sound still echoes through a new generation of songwriters.

Catch them live on a global tour this fall and mark your calendars: Dando’s memoir Rumors of My Demise hits shelves October 7.
