Lola Young Unleashes Raw Emotion on New Single “d£aler” as Anticipation Builds for Upcoming Album ‘I’m Only Fucking Myself’ (Out Sept 19)

    🎧 Listen to “d£aler” | 💿 Pre-order the album

Fresh off a whirlwind year that’s seen her win the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award and dominate charts with the platinum-certified smash “Messy,” alt-pop firestarter Lola Young is back with “d£aler”—a gut-punch anthem about wanting to outrun your own demons. With a voice The New York Times calls “acrobatically tortured,” and a fearless lyrical style, Lola channels that inner chaos into an exasperated howl that’s as commanding as it is cathartic.

“d£aler” builds on the momentum of her recent singles “Not Like That Anymore” and “One Thing,” tracks that cemented her as an “alt-pop heroine” (Rolling Stone) unafraid to blend dub grooves with blistering honesty. And it’s all leading up to her hotly anticipated new album, I’m Only Fucking Myself, out September 19th via Island Records.

Following a fiery festival run through Glastonbury, Lollapalooza Paris, and a support slot for Billie Eilish in Paris, Lola now sets her sights on North America with a massive headline tour kicking off November 1st in Toronto. Due to overwhelming demand, she’s already added extra dates in New York, L.A., and Toronto. Tickets available here.

With over 1 billion streams to her name and a genre-bending style that mixes rock, pop, and soul, Lola continues her meteoric rise—spotted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, praised by NPR and The LA Times, and celebrated for her “give-no-fucks attitude” (HommeGirls). Her new music promises to be her boldest, most emotionally raw work yet.

As Billboard put it best: “a rock sound and bolder lyrics that deal with the chaos of life.” “d£aler” is just a taste of what’s coming—and it’s electric.
