Dark-pop duo Magic Wands return with a haunting new release—“Across The Water”, out now via Metropolis Records, accompanied by a shimmering remix of fan-favorite “Hide” by Stargods. The double single drops ahead of their upcoming full-length album Cascades, due October 24th, and casts an alluring spell of shoegaze, dream-pop, and post-punk textures.
“Across The Water” opens the door to a time-warped journey, pulling listeners into a 16th-century French daydream where history feels hypnotic. Dexy and Chris Valentine’s ethereal production and delicate vocal layering elevate this track into a meditative, immersive listening experience. It’s a lush invitation to lose yourself in sound, rich with repetition that lets the mind wander freely.
Meanwhile, Stargods rework “Hide” into a pulsating, nocturnal remix that’s paired with a striking new video. Both tracks showcase the band’s mastery of mood and mystique.
Magic Wands will perform at Substance Festival in LA on November 7, with more tour dates to follow. If this double release is a sign of what’s to come with Cascades, the album promises to be one of their most spellbinding yet.
