    These New Puritans

    “Into The Fire”

George and Jack Barnett, those twins geniuses from Essex, are back after five years with a new song, and it certainly was worth the wait.  Along with the brothers, David Tibet and Micaela Haslam have joined in on vocals, while George plays drum kits and metal percussion, and Jack, besides singing, plays pianos and electronics. As with most the These New Puritans music, “Into The Fire” is beauty of a different kind.  I know of no one who sounds like these guys; the influence of Wu-Tang Clan, Sonic Youth, and Yo La Tengo is prevalent, but These New Puritans are a sound all their own.  Welcome back: YOU WERE MISSED.
