    “Galaxies”

    Paper Castles

Already on my list of the best albums of 2019, Alice Phoebe Lou has released a new single from Paper Castles, which is beautiful and shimmering, just like stardust reflected in the light of the heavens.  Lou has one of those voices that makes you want to hear more, and her guitar playing moves the song forward.  In “Galaxies”, Lou becomes that fallen alien forced to live with ordinary folk.  As Bowie showed, that is no easy task, but Lou comes with more benign reasons; love and peace.  Alice Phoebe Lou has become one of my favorite artists, and when she hits those lovely yelping notes toward the end, my heart takes off with her.  She is definitely the artist to watch.
