LCD Soundsystem Returns with “X-Ray Eyes” Premiere on NTS Radio

LCD Soundsystem is back, shaking things up with “X-Ray Eyes,” their first new release in two years. The track made its debut on NTS Radio, premiering during DJ Anu’s set, now archived and available for streaming. For those eager to dive in, the track surfaces around the 19:40 mark of the broadcast—a perfect spot to experience the band’s signature blend of indie-electro grooves.

This release marks their return since their contribution to White Noise in 2022, where they captured attention with “New Body Rhumba,” performed live on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Before that, the band had been musically silent since their 2017 album American Dream, although they stayed active with residencies across New York, London, Boston, and Philadelphia. They also gave fans a live gem with the Electric Lady Sessions LP, cementing their presence even without fresh studio material.

With “X-Ray Eyes,” LCD Soundsystem signals they’ve still got that sharp, dancefloor-ready energy—more thoughtful than nostalgic, and just as emotionally potent. Make sure to catch the premiere on NTS for a first taste of what could be a thrilling new chapter for the band.
