The Corduroy Suit
“Great Neptune”
Revisions
Haunting vocals, evocative melodies, clever lyrics definitely raise the Corduroy Suit’s single from their new EP, Revisions, to a hire place. “Giant Neptune” compares unrequited love to a journey across the solar system, working as a metaphor for that place in your life you never obtain, but cannot help yourself from trying. A great quote from the song:
Isolation chamber’s starting to feel like home/But I’ve got friendly neighbors in Saturn’s rings/And I’ve got hostile strangers in the back of my brain.
The quintet, made up of John Schmegel, Chris Asta, Patrick Galligan, Max Horwich, and Zander Musser, has been rightly comparedto Bowie and Radiohead. No other planetary love trip is more entertaining.
