“Best of Everything”
The first notes of “Best of Everything” comes across like the beginnings of a Scorpion or Def Leppard song. Then, all of a sudden, you are listening to a pop/synth song of the top degree. The juxtaposition of heavy metal and pop works absolutely perfect for this band. Van Damsel is originally from British Columbia and is made up of Richard Bregoliss (guitar, backing vocals), Sebastien Ste Marie (vocals, guitar, synths), Matthew “Renny” Rennehan (bass, backing vocals), and Matthew Barron (drums, backing vocals). Ste Marie’s voice is amazing in a Ronnie James Dio way (an extraordinary complement). This is definitely a band to be on the lookout for. Already, they have deservedly won awards. I love this band.
