Steevo Nuissier
“L’Eveil de la Raison”
Steevo Nuissier has released enough beautifully dark electronica magic, this time in his native French, which, somehow, sounds darker and more intense than anything Nuissier has done yet. This to me sounds like something Baudelaire would have written if he had access to synthesizers or electricity at that. Nuissier has always been a poet and musician extraordinaire, but “L’Eveil de la Raison” might be the darkest and most enlightened piece he has released. It is no wonder, whenever Steevo Nuissier releases something, I simply devour it. This is definitely electronica for the thinking, nay, the aware connoisseur.

C’est pourtant possible l’avenir est éternel
Et l’âme en moi est essentielle
Signe d’humanité
C’est pourtant plausible

Ils attendent que je rentre
Avec la peur au ventre
Dans leur caverne
Ou la nuit tombé
