Stella Santana’s latest single and video, “Chasing You Down,” from her eagerly awaited independent EP “Twelve Feet High,” is a captivating addition to her discography. Following the release of previous singles “Easier” and the title track “Twelve Feet High,” this EP marks the first installment of her forthcoming trilogy.

“Chasing You Down” begins with a gentle strumming of the guitar, setting the stage for a narrative of yearning and pursuit. Stella’s evocative vocals capture the essence of summer nights, evoking images of warm breezes and carefree drives with the windows down. The accompanying video, set against a scenic beach backdrop, perfectly complements the sultry tones of the track.

Inspired by Jack White’s “Two Against One,” Stella shares, “I’ve always loved that song and I wanted to create the same vibe in my own way.”

“Twelve Feet High” is a quintessential Stella Santana creation. This EP is a sonic journey through her past, characterized by whisper-soft vocals, rhythmic beats, and dreamy, smoky production. It signifies a pivotal moment in Stella’s artistic evolution, where she seamlessly blends alt-pop and neo-soul with a hint of ’90s grunge nostalgia.

“I’m so excited to share this project! It’s the result of an extremely inspired and productive time. I came to LA and had to sort of start over building my network, and the timing and connections with my collaborators felt very aligned, almost divine. I’m so grateful to everyone who has helped bring my visions to life!” she enthuses.

This new EP underscores Stella’s commitment to her craft, prioritizing artistic integrity over commercial success. Her music philosophy—creating songs reminiscent of those she used to tape off the radio—shines through every track. Each single envelops listeners in live instrumentation and bittersweet tones, reflecting her authenticity and profound self-awareness as an artist. Stella’s dedication to intention, sound mastery, and delivering truth is palpable in every note.

“There is no hype, just presence. For me, it’s about authenticity over artifice,” Stella states. Her deliberate and purposeful approach elevates the artistry of her work. “Twelve Feet High” is poised to redefine Stella’s role in the music industry, carving out a unique space that values quality and authenticity over mainstream appeal. She offers an alternative perspective, focusing on the art of music rather than capitalizing on it.
