TV Girl and George Clanton’s collaborative album, Fauxllennium, released on December 2, 2024, is a captivating fusion of indie pop and vaporwave that immerses listeners in early 2000s nostalgia. The seven-track project opens with “Summer 2000 Baby,” featuring TV Girl’s signature high-pitched vocals and synths, setting a dreamy tone. “Everything Blue” introduces a wistful atmosphere with hip-hop elements reminiscent of Gorillaz, while the title track envelops the audience in an ethereal soundscape.

“Butterflies,” featuring Jordana, stands out with its entrancing, upbeat melody and hypnotic vocals. “Take a Trip” offers a relaxed vibe with groovy percussion and Clanton’s earnest vocals, complemented by a sampled refrain from Compton’s Most Wanted. “The Sweet Life” introduces jazzy elements, creating a soothing listening experience, and the album closes with “Yesterday’s World,” echoing the overarching theme of nostalgia and featuring a sample from the 1950 radio program “Dimension X.” Clocking in at under 30 minutes, Fauxllennium maintains a cohesive ambiance, blending elements of bedroom pop, indie pop, and electronic sounds to create a unique listening experience.
