Marlowe Grey

“Midnight In Brooklyn”

Midnight In Brooklyn

Radiohead with flute.  That is what Marlowe Grey remind me of.  Maybe even darker than Radiohead.  The band, which consists of Anthony John Pietro – leader singer/songwriter, guitar; Trent Blackham – bass; Angel Lozada – drums; Alex Wirkmaa – lead guitar; and Paula Croxson – flute, is a Brooklyn-based (of course) vibrant arrangements of sound, layering over a heartfelt foundation with sensitive craftmanship and the subtle tones of the flute.  Along with sounds of Radiohead, Marlowe Grey brings about the sensibility of John Lennon and the beauty of the Moody Blues at their finest.  Marlowe Grey is a band with a huge future, with a sound that is both familiar and super unique.  Pietro has a voice reminiscent of Thom Yorke but with even more depth.  This is a great band, no doubt.
