What can I say about Blondie?  I saw them in 1978, and they were frickin wonderful.  Debbie was tremendous and sweet (I remember a young boy running on stage with flowers.  She gave him a huge kiss, and he fainted).  The show rocked.  We met Clem before the show (great amazing guy).  One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.  That said, Blondie still has it; playing punk pop with a deadly aim.  I swear, they’re like Patti Smith; they never get old.  I’ve been a fan since their first album, and I love the fact that they never let themselves be pigeon-holed.  And remember, even though Debbie is the front person, the band is Blondie.  Catch them if you can when they tour with Cyndi Lauper.  (Another person who never ages).  Also, remember Blondie has always been there for the LGBTQ community.  All hail Blondie.  Thank you for years of music.  You’ve made my life better.
