Tori Amos Unrepentant

Tori Amos fans are lovingly called “Ears With Feet,” a nickname coined by the artist herself after their rabid fanatacism gained notoriety in the 1990s. Though Amos has evolved her sound since those days, she’s been as hard working as ever: Since the 1999 release of To Venus & Back, Tori has released 8 full-length albums (2 of which were in a Classical vein), written the music and co-written the lyrics for a musical that premiered to rave reviews in London, and has managed to secure her place as one of the only female artists to have 5+ albums debut in the top ten on the Billboard 200!

Today, Tori has announced that not only will she be releasing her 14th studio album, entitled Unrepentant Geraldines, but will be embarking on a world tour to support it!

Tori has this to say about the album’s creative inspiration:

“I’ve always been inspired by visual artists of all mediums because, as with music, art is not a job you can go to and leave from, but it is something that defines who and what you are,” Amos tells Rolling Stone. “Visual artists shake up our brains and force us to look at everything, from objects we don’t normally think twice about to people we might not have cared about. In one image, they can remind us of nature’s power to enchant, as well as humankind’s fruitless attempt to overpower her or simply second-guess her. Through the visual artist’s application of tone, shape, pattern and pigment, I not only begin to see, but I can honestly say I begin to hear. (Rolling Stone, 2014)”

This album should be her FUZZiest in years! Exclusive pre-sale tickets are available when you preorder her album at her website.
