A Bird

“Polluto”

Steel Cold Train

After years spent fronting his former band Those Mockingbirds, NJ-based artist Adam Bird decided to call it a day in February of 2016 to focus on a different musical path.  As much as I loved Those Mockingbirds, A Bird’s solo effort is as great if not better.  A good description of this enigma is if Air and the White Stripes worked with Eno to give birth to a new genre, Electronica Kickass Rock.  Nothing else can describe it.  The great guitar rift, the repetitive piano line, the hint of synth strings, the whole song rolling over you like a wave of kickass music.  And that voice:  Jack White wishes he could sound this tough (and White’s one of my heroes, so that’s saying a lot).  This is adult rock n roll, kids, not for the weak.  I love this stuff (and the way it ends, is absolutely perfect).
