Here comes another band from the sewers of Austin to prove Patti Smith is incorrect when she says music died with Lou Reed’s death. Lowin proves that wrong. This is a strong quartet with a great lead singer with the balls and originality of a young Chrissy Hynde or Poly Styrene. This jaded boy is impressed. If bands like Lowin exist, there is hope for 2015 music scene. One day, these guys will have their posters on the wall with the Ramones, Talking Heads, and Blondie. The sound is there, the ideas are there. Now it’s time to get the listeners. You are missing something until you jam to this band.
