“No Ringer”

Grounders

Amazing song.  The Velvet Underground meets the Zombies and decides to give birth to Big Black.  This spring, the Toronto-based band – Andrew Davis (vocals and guitar), Daniel Busheikin (keyboards), Mike Searle (Bass) and Evan Lewis (guitar) – will release their first full-length album, a collection of dense and intricate pop music under the gauzy veil of krautrock and psychedelia.  One can hear traces of Neu! and Can, as well as traces of the Swans and other noise bands, yet Grounders throw it all together in an extremely unique way.  MY GODS, I LOVE THIS BAND.  Grounder might be a candidate for best new band; they are that good.  And they’re on tour.  WOW.
